He has worked as an illustrator for the shipping industry, producing impressions and technical cutaways for companies such as Canadian Pacific and Blue Star Lines. He is the author of over 25 specialist naval books. Francis Crosby joined the Imperial War Museum's branch at Duxford, England in 1985. Having held research and exhibition posts at the museum, he then led Duxford's Marketing Department for many years, and he is now a marketing consultant specializing in museums and heritage attractions. His published works include: Fighter Aircraft; Bombers (both Lorenz Books); Images of War: D-Day; and Images of War: The Luftwaffe in World War II (both Pen and Sword).
