About the Authors: Bernard Ireland spent his working life with the Royal Naval Scientific Service, and has written over 30 books on maritime technological and historical subjects. Francis Crosby led the marketing department at the Imperial War Museum's branch at Duxford, England, and has written extensively on the subject of historic aviation.
