The World as I See It: The Urban and Street Photography of Ricardo Banda is more than just a collection of photos; it provides an opportunity to view the world through my eyes. Our understanding of the world is shaped by our society, culture, and the people with whom we interact. What we observe and concentrate on defines our reality. Nonetheless, our view isn't always the complete picture. Sometimes, there is more to discover if we take a moment to look deeper. In my photography, I strive to reveal the hidden beauty that is often overlooked by the hurried observer. The alleyways of a vibrant city, highlighted by light and shadows, narrate tales of resilience and creativity. The stories of the homeless, frequently ignored, echo with dignity and determination. Grand structures-shaped by human effort-symbolize inspiration and ambition, mirroring our collective wish to create and endure. This book captures my attempt to express the reality I see-one abundant with contradictions, rich in beauty, and profoundly human.
