OverviewAlone at Christmas, will she find somewhere to call home? No more than 18 years old, alone and heavily pregnant, Kathleen stumbles through the snow, desperate for somewhere to rest her weary head. As the Christmas bells chime around her, she glimpses a man through the haze, before collapsing into his arms. On a farm in the beautiful Kent countryside, Jessie and her family take Kathleen in as their own. But little do they know that there's a baby on the way ... As the years pass, Home Farm becomes more than just a place for Kathleen and her daughter to rest – it becomes their salvation. But will Kathleen find the family she's been searching for? Table of ContentsReviews'a Sheila Newberry book is like having dinner with your mother in her warm and cosy kitchen. You can feel the love and care put into every juicy morsel.' -- Diane Allen, bestselling author of For the Sake of Her Family Author InformationI write family sagas, latterly for Robert Hale. There are always children in my books because we brought up nine children in our “Knee Deep in Plums” days, and they are my inspiration! Now, we have twenty-three grandchildren too. My stories are mainly about rural life at the turn of the last century, covering the first world war and the 1920’s. I also write about WW2 and London then, and during the late Victorian era. I am a tender writer, shall I say, and I laugh and cry with my characters as they cope with life. I never know the ending of my stories until I reach that point - and then suddenly it is there. I joined the RNA in 1996 and enjoy the enthusiasm and encouragement of my fellow writers. I write memoirs too. My books are all on Amazon. I can be contacted through Hale and would be pleased to hear from readers. Mary Woodvine is a stage and television actress.
