The Way of the Nameless

Overview

Callan Bram has no idea who he is. In a world where being blessed by the gods and goddesses of The Five Realms can get you killed and knowing the history of your own family can land you in a jail cell, it can be difficult to find your place amongst the chaos. Callan is no exception to this lifestyle and being orphaned at birth has left him alone in this harsh world. Callan has been given the opportunity to join the prestigious guild of White Knights who travel throughout the realms as mercenaries, a purpose to his life of many doubts and unknowns. He is sent on a quest for information of the rumored rebellion led by The Nameless who has been rallying the Draoi people-those blessed by the gods-together in hopes of taking the power back from the Nondraoi-those who are untouched by godly power and fear its potential. On his journey, Callan and his best friend Ash, a flame wielding Pyre-Faerie, meet their traveling companions either by coincidence or fate. They take the form of a winged giant, a shadowy thief, a hatchet-wielding engineer, and a youthful old man. The party of misfits slowly begins to feel like a family to Callan, like the family he never had. When the party is attacked by an unknown enemy, Callan is forced to choose between sacrificing the only family he has ever known or barreling down a dangerous path that just might give him answers to the questions he has asked his entire life. Callan's past is unknown, but his future has already been determined.
