Overview

Over 4000 years ago in ancient Sumer, some of the first mythographers inscribed the stories and myths of the Goddess Inanna on clay tablets in cuneiform. These incredible findings were unearthed, and the fragments were painstakingly pieced together and translated. Inanna was heralded as a goddess who embodies polarities: impatient and deliberate, an attentive lover and fierce warrior, connected to fertility as well as death--making her an accessible, relatable, and inspiring representation of the Divine Feminine as she stands in her power and multidimensionality. This book is a guide to heart-centered living through the wisdom of the Sumerian Goddess of Love. Each chapter deconstructs sacred narratives in which the Goddess navigates the seven gates of her soul's journey from awakening to ascension. More than a simple retelling, the book is myth made manifest in which Inanna becomes a means to accessing our own ascension and alchemical magic within our modern, contemporary context. With a combined psychotherapeutic and spiritual approach, Seana Zelazo offers rituals and practices to help listeners connect directly with Inanna. From harnessing your sensual energy to reclaiming the generative capacity of the Divine Feminine and identifying and amplifying your life's purpose, you will discover the ways Inanna's process is your own.

Author Information

"Seana Zelazo, LICSW, is a psychotherapist, intuitive channel, spiritual coach, mentor, and teacher. A licensed clinical social worker who holds an MSW from the Smith College School for Social Work, Seana began her social work career in end-of-life care as a hospice social worker before transitioning into private practice as a psychotherapist. For the last decade, Seana has focused on providing clarity and support as an intuitive channel, connecting with the higher realms to offer guidance, spiritual coaching, and mentorship, as well as teaching. Trained in many healing modalities, Seana is also a former elite runner and two-time Olympic trials qualifier in the marathon, as well as a former competitive triathlete. As a surfer, today Seana uses her relationship to sports as a medium to be in sacred relationship with the temple of the body. She lives in coastal New Hampshire, where she surfs with her sisterhood year-round. The Way of Inanna is her first book. Melissa Redmond started her love affair with books when she was three. Her first introduction to audiobooks came at about the same time, when her dad, a Navy pilot, would read bedtime stories onto tapes and send them home while he was away on deployment. He did all the voices. Eventually, her love of the written word turned into a love of performance in various mediums. She graduated from the University of California San Diego with a degree in theater and has been working in theater, film, and voice-over ever since. Her voice has been described as ""A little smirk, a little sparkle . . . and just the right amount of smartass."" She's interested in a wide array of genres, with special affection for thriller, nonfiction, romantic comedy, and YA fantasy. When she isn't acting, she can be found hiking in the San Francisco Bay Area hills, dancing, and rescuing and rehabilitating injured marine mammals."
