Overview

Fact not fiction - The Untold Story of One Man and World War 2 is the actual memories of a man from a six-cow dairy farm in Missouri who survived. The printed words bring to life the thoughts, the hopes, the prayers, and the fears and dramatize the personal relationships with shipmates from around the world of one young sailor in a very big war. Leaving a young wife and new son in Texas to journey to St.Petersburg Florida, New Orleans, New York City, Panama, the South Pacific war zone, then back home to San Antonio. One man cannot win a war. Years ago he would pack a pound of hamburger and a can of pork and beans, and go to a sandy beach on Pelican Island. In an iron skillet over a driftwood fire the gourmet dish gave comfort and hope to the fishermen camped there. Now it's called cowboy delight and is shared at the family reunion each year in the hill country of Texas where he hosts children and grandchildren from several states for a week of fishing and games. His writings include The Log Cabin, The Good Old Days, The Big Fish, The Rainbow Trout and Hip Boots, and many more...
