The life of a hero is never easy and for war hero and 'unofficial' heir to the Three Rivers throne, Nadil Shiny Scale, life is about to become much harder. On a mission to track down vital information on Three Rivers greatest enemy, the elusive Sapphire, Nadil encounters a strange and alluring sorceress who steals his soul. He must travel to the undead Nether Realm to hunt down the sorceress with only the taciturn and secretive pirate, Cactus, as his guide. There is more at stake on this ghostly journey than just his soul, however. The answers to the long buried secrets of Nadil's past, his parentage, and the truth about his dragonshifter powers can only be found in the Nether, a land of tortured souls, monsters and the truth behind an ancient magical conspiracy that threatens the peace and prosperity of all the Lands of Magic. Yet, even in the lands of the dead, time is running out for Nadil. The dangerous and cunning Sapphire has followed him into the Nether. Armed with the ancient magical relic, Gendril's Flute, Sapphire seeks to enslave Nadil with its corrupting melody.
