Overview

A victim of exclusionary sexism at the nation's top technology institutes, a pioneering computer scientist is called home to deal with the mysterious death of her father, a steel mill superintendent in Youngstown, Ohio. Returning to her industrial hometown, she is reunited with her college boyfriend, an obituary reporter at the local newspaper. They discover that the steel master known as The Timekeeper was killed for information that could scuttle a government-sanctioned corporate merger, decimate communities and reset society at a turbulent transition in time. In a story based on true events, The Timekeeper's Daughter follows the young technologist and the reporter as they expose the coverup and conspiracy that unfolded during the social, economic, political and technological upheavals at the end of the industrial era and the beginning of the information age.
