Overview

In the late 60s, two friends decide to drop out and go hitch hiking across France to Marrakech. On the way they meet a french girl and never get further than Aix in the south of the country. Their lives take many turns marked by love, betrayal and heartache. In the latter stages of World War II a member of the French Resistance falls in love with an English agent. D A Adamson is an advertising copywriter who has published two comedic crime novels set in the 1960s based in his native North Yorkshire: The Windelton Absurdities and Windelton and the Bavarian Incident. His first children's chapter book, Rubbish: The Little Dog That Became A Street Cleaner is currently being published. He is a regular contributor to radio for the visually impaired, a prolific short story writer and has a Substack, Diary of a Baby Boomer. He is married with three children, three grandchildren and seven hens. He lives in Lower Wensleydale.
