He previously worked as a full-time editor and editorial board member of The Complete Works of Tao Xingzhi and served as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Society for Tao Xingzhi Studies. Since becoming fascinated with Tao Xingzhi's educational philosophy in 1981, he has been advocating and practicing educational improvement, developing a comprehensive theory of integrated adult education. He has published over 30 monographs totaling more than 6 million words, edited and translated over 60 volumes, and authored more than 800 articles.
