Overview

A resource to help develop functional language through practical methods, this sourcebook should also promote carry over of target behaviours into day-to-day conversation. It is designed to appeal to clients from paediatric to adult with any or all of the following: articulation disorder, dysarthria, dysphasia, dysphonia, reading and writing difficulties. The resource contains 90 topics, which include a wide range of interests that appeal to all age groups. These topics are easily accessible, innovative and in a format that is specifically designed to be photocopied. Record forms and home practice sheets have also been included. This should make this sourcebook useful to clinicians who are unable to develop new methods of practice for their patients because of time restrictions. It is also useful to patients who require creative ways of developing their speech and language skills. Chapters include: relationships with people; the media; leisure time; disasters; the past; information and technology; work; weather; and school.
