Her debut novel, which details her immigrant family's escape from wartime Ukraine, was longlisted for the Reader's Digest Self-Published Book Awards and has since been published globally to critical acclaim. She also hosts The Craft and Business of Books on YouTube. She currently lives in New York with her husband and children. Julia Emelin is a professional actress and voiceover artist. Born and raised in Saint Petersburg, Russia, she graduated from Saint Petersburg Theatre Academy before moving to Hollywood. She has since appeared in numerous television and film productions and appreciates any opportunity to be on stage, on screen, or behind a mic.
