The Routledge Handbook on Historic Urban Landscapes in the Asia-Pacific sheds light onto the balancing act of urban heritage management, focusing specifically on the Asia-Pacific regions in which this challenge is imminent and in need of effective solutions. Kapila D. Silva is an Associate Professor at the School of Architecture and Design of the University of Kansas, USA. He has taught at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA, from which he received a doctorate in architecture, and at the University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka, from which he received professional training in architecture. He is the lead editor of Asian Heritage Management: Contexts, Concerns and Prospects (Routledge, 2013) and Cultural Landscapes of South Asia: Studies in Heritage Conservation and Management (Routledge, 2017).
