Overview

The Fae are real--this is a fact that Aisling Morrow has believed since she was a child. Her late mother's accounts of their beauty still linger in her mind, but with the caveat: Do not involve yourself uninvited with matters of the Fae. Aisling has no plans to do so--until she discovers a prophecy which names her the Red Woman, destined to turn the tides of war in Wyldraíocht by ensuring the fall of the Unseelie Court. On a quest to understand, Aisling ventures into Wyldraíocht. Except Fae prophecies aren't easily interpreted, and she is soon ensnared in a dangerous web--at the center of which stands the vengeful Unseelie King. King Kael Ardhen, a vessel for power bestowed upon him by an eldritch god, is consumed by his own rage--a rage which he would not hesitate to turn on the human prophesied to destroy his court. Yet something about the way Aisling calls to his shadows draws him in. As unsettling truths challenge Aisling's convictions and call into question the purpose of the Red Woman, the Veil between realms grows weaker. Soon, the crueler sorts of Fae will no longer be confined to Wyldraíocht. With time running out, Aisling finds herself at the crossroads of fate and choice.

Author Information

Based out of Virginia but currently living in Africa, Fern A. Ellis is a thirty-one-year-old author whose writing is heavily rooted in nature, inspired by a childhood spent in the forests and mountains of the Pacific Northwest--which she considers to be one of the last places on earth where real magic still exists. When she isn't writing, Fern spends her free time adventuring with her very own White Bear, a nine-year-old goldendoodle named Newt. Meg Sylvan is an audiobook narrator from New York City. She loves hiking mountains, baking cookies, gardening in her backyard, and appeasing fluffy diva cats. Elliot Fitzpatrick studied acting at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire before going on to appear in theater in London's West End, at Shakespeare's Globe, and with the Rose Theatre Kingston, as well as in international tours across Asia. As an audiobook narrator he has read over fifty titles, including books by Bear Grylls and mountain-climber Nims Purja, and in 2021 was nominated for an Audie for his work on the mystery thriller The Midnight Man by Caroline Mitchell. His voice can be heard in the video games Kings Bounty II and War Tales, as well as commercial work for Starling Bank.
