Overview

The time is in the future, and the world has changed. This story is about a young boy, Josh, and his AL-LI (Artificial Living Linguistic Intelligence) robot named Noah. Josh, a pre-teen boy in a home of a non-present, alcoholic father, navigates through life with ease since the innovation of AL-LI robots being made available in every home. Josh has even learned hacks in the program of AL-LI that has Noah helping him with homework and helps him to engage in a pre-teen world of curiosity and gameplay with his friends Yashi, Terra, and Bub. The company that invented AL-LI is called ProTech, and its founder, Dek Bale, have found that convenience and influence are worth the investment in government bureaucrats to look the other way in the ethical and political legislation regarding the amount of control of AL-LIs in the country. Bale is in line to gain even more control, power, and wealth as he has presented to the United States about AL-LIs becoming the military. Bale is willing to do whatever it takes to protect his contract. Josh believes though that Noah is different, and with his friends, they set out on a path to prove otherwise with the adventure of a lifetime that takes them down a deep, dark path of what people are willing to accept and depend upon for their own personal convenience and the understanding of where true protection originates.
