Lang Research Professor of Economics at Swarthmore College. Jean-Paul Azam is Professor of Economics at the University of Toulouse and at the Institut Universitaire de France. Robert H. Bates is Eaton Professor of the Science of Government at Harvard University. Augustin Fosu is Deputy Director of the World Institute for Development Economics Research at the United Nations University. Jan Willem Gunning is Professor of Development Economics at the Free University, Amsterdam and Director of the Amsterdam Institute for International Development.
