Overview

The PAINTING ANGELS were a revelation that surfaced on the painting palettes of Andrea Beloff when she fervently embraced oil painting as her primary art medium in phase two of her life, during which she also took ownership of her Greater Purpose. The Ministry of Angels, their functions and God appointed assignments, are delightfully depicted in the angel art, and the Scriptures that testify to them. They reveal our God's sovereignty in history, in present times, and in the promises He has revealed through prophesy to His people as the End Times draw near. A little five-year journey with supernatural dimensions.

Author Information

"ANDREA BELOFF Inspired Artist on a Mission For Andrea, painting is a true connection to the Divine Creator and a total joy. Her work is abstract in quality and technique but the current themes are Prophetic. Since starting to paint abstract, the Painting Angels surfaced, along with spiritual revival themes like the pouring of living waters, the movement of the Spirit and the presence of the Lord. All of the current paintings are rich in story as Andrea paints while soaking in the Spirit and receiving guidance and messages from above. The five-year journey, painting angels along with other works, guided her to the completion of the Painting Angels Book with the whole Angel collection and its vignettes and accompanying Scriptures. Before graduating in Fine Art from UCSB, Andrea Beloff spent a year in Venice, Italy at the Accademia di Belle Arti completely immersed in painting and art under the influential abstract painter, Emilio Vedova. That incredible experience convinced Andrea that her career was headed into abstract oil paintings and miniature abstract watercolors. Upon returning to UCSB, and having fulfilled all the credits a student could take in Painting, Andrea was prompted to take the class in Traditional Japanese Papermaking, under Contemporary Master Papermaker, Hiromi Katayama, and unannounced, her fascination with the paper making process diverted her destiny completely into rich and detailed Tropical and Coastal Utopias. From Papermaking back to Painting Andrea's tendencies with the Paper were tropical in nature. The play of color and texture became an overnight success story. For twenty-five years and with the influence of her Brasilian upbringing, the tropical landscapes created a popular long-standing theme, Escape to Paradise. Even though her family is from Argentina and she has kept up with many customs, Andrea claims to be Brasilian at heart. Andrea showed extensively at the top Art Festivals in California as well as Florida and New York. She was the featured poster artist at almost all of them and twice in some. Her work became largely popular. In the course of this time, Andrea learned an artist's most valuable lesson: you cannot be a true artist when you are in an uninspired place. She spent a long period doing this kind of work and she had become stuck in several areas of her life; renewal forced Andrea into a long and eye-opening Sabbatical. She used this time to reflect and heal herself through art, experimenting and combining other medium with the beautiful papers she always made. She moved out of the Tropical niche that so defined her and did much experimentation with her art. She now enjoys the more energetic experience of expression through painting and especially palette knife painting. The Journey Through Art After a Long Sabbatical In hindsite, Andrea states that the Sabbatical was an artist's dream even though the timing of it was hard for her. Significant changes happened to her art as well as to her life. She left the world of outdoor Art Festivals behind to focus on her lifelong dream of opening her own Gallery and she had several Studio/Galleries in different parts of Miami but nothing fully convinced her. Andrea still felt uprooted. Her journey then took her to Naples in December 2015. Andrea took care of her father until he passed, and after that, moved back to Miami to exhibit nationally and internationally! The artwork has ample vignettes to accompany them and those stories were important mostly to Andrea but she also found several worth sharing, so she wrote a Book, PAINTING ANGELS, The Ministry of God's Angels through the Art of Andrea Beloff. Her artwork accompanies every step of her spiritual growth and maturity, and the best is yet to come. She truly hopes her work and her book inspire others to know God better, to spread the joy of making her creations and to bring others that spiritual feeling that is so unique to God's children. Chris Yavelow has worked in every aspect of the book business, from typesetting to layout and design; from being an author, editor, publisher, series editor, and agent; to developing software for writers. Yavelow's professional involvement with books began as a teenager during a summer job setting metal type for printing presses. This experience led to his first published book, a graphic novel titled Green (1971). He continued to design and publish limited-edition books until transitioning to full-time journalism in 1884. From 1984 through 1994, he was a contributing editor for Macworld, Electronic Musician, Byte, Computer Music Journal, Macintouch, Macromedia Journal, MacWeek, Verbum, and New Media Magazine. During the 1980s and 1990s, Yavelow was the world's most widely published author in the field of computer music. In 1993, IDG published Yavelow's first mainstream book, ""The Macworld Music and Sound Bible"" (1400-pages). Praised by reviewers worldwide, it received the prestigious Computer Press Association award in 1993 and was among Mix Bookshelf 's ""Top Twenty Titles,"" as well as a book club ""Main Selection,"" and it was subsequently translated into Japanese, an edition of 30,000 that sold out in two weeks. A number of other co-authoring book deals followed: ""Multimedia PowerTools"" (Bantam), ""Mastering the World of QuickTime"" (Random House), as well as major contributions to books such as ""Macintosh Virtual Playhouse"" (Hayden), ""Making Music with Your Computer (Mix Books), and ""The Music Machine"" (MIT Press). Yavelow was the series editor of A-R Editions' renowned ""Computer Music and Digital Audio"" book series from 1995 thru 1999. Since the turn of the century, he has been developing an unprecedented software tool for authors, now available at FictionFixer.com. Technically an ""expert system,"" the software analyzes characteristics of current bestselling novels to define a model representing what the public expects from such bestsellers. Besides being a tool for authors and publishers, FictionFixer received much media attention when it was used forensically as an expert system to detect the authorship of several important documents pertaining to the 2008 presidential election. In 2006, he launched YAV Publications at InterestingWriting.com, an author-friendly digital publishing company with extraordinarily high standards. At the end of 2011 he unveiled a focused editing method in his book ""Final Edit, The Final Hours of Your Final Draft."" By 2020, he had designed and published books for nearly 100 authors. Yavelow moved to Asheville, North Carolina in 2009, and currently participates in many of the writing events and activities of the city that some refer to as ""the writing-ist city in North Carolina."""
