OverviewTHE NITE OWL TAXI follows Felix Wyndal, a forty-year-old taxi driver, who reflects on his life after two tours of duty in Iraq and the PTSD that shapes his life. Divorce, difficulty working with people, and frustration with the V.A., especially refusal of his claim for 25% disability. Felix's Rock of Gibraltar is fellow Iraq veteran Riley, the two having served in the same company. Felix's taxi driving has only fleeting interactions with people, as he prefers, and a variety of characters like the would-be armed robber, the attempted run-out, and the teen prostitute escaping her pimp. Felix is scraping by money-wise when he gets evicted from his small rented house. Then rushing on the freeway, he's critically injured in a traffic pileup. After weeks, he regains everything and more, living life with gratitude and eyes wide open.
