Kristie C. Wolferman, a Kansas City historian, served the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art as a docent for over twenty years. She is author of The Osage in Missouri and The Indomitable Mary Easton Sibley Pioneer of Women's Education in Missouri. She lives in Kansas City, Missouri, and Pinehurst, North Carolina.
