ANDREW BARR has worked for the BBC for over 30 years and produced many editions of Songs of Praise. He is now a freelance writer, whose books include Songs of Praise: The Nation's Favourite Hymns, Songs of Praise: A Christmas Companion and Through the Year with Songs of Praise (all for Lion).
