He has published critical editions of six Nag Hammadi texts, and studies of Sethian Gnosticism and its relation to later Platonic philosophy. He is currently Chair of the Nag Hammadi and Gnosticism Section of the Society of Biblical Literature. Anne McGuire, Ph.D. (1983), Yale University, is Associate Professor of Religion at Haverford College in Pennsylvania. She has published several articles in the study of Gnosticism and Nag Hammadi and is currently completing a book on the uses of gender imagery in the Nag Hammadi texts. She is past Chair and current member of the Steering Committee of the Nag Hammadi and Gnosticism Section of the Society of Biblical Literature.
