To correct our errors, we must trace them to their source. This consideration has induced me, to present the pre ceding and the following obser vations on the causes, which lead the faculty into the habit of thee onzmg. I have lightened the censure, which is thrown upon us by spreading a part of it on the broad shoulders of [coor human nature I mean to charge the remainder to a fault of our patients and their friends.
