OverviewMexican beaded lizards are firmly identified with the Gila beasts - the main two known venomous lizards. They are dim earthy colored to dark with orange or yellow spots. The skin is made out of beaded scales called osteoderms that contain bits of bone, in this way giving the lizards their 'defensive layer'. The scales that spread the highest point of their body are enormous and hard; delicate scales spread the paunch partition. They have a tube shaped body; a wide level head; short solid legs with five tore toes; and a long, thick tail. The subjects include behavior, diet, reproduction, natural surrounding/range, habits and lifestyle, mating habits, and much more.
