OverviewA headless corpse … a missing person … case closed? June, and as Copenhagen swelters under record temperatures, a headless corpse surfaces in the murky harbour, landing a new case on DI Henrik Jungersen’s desk just as his holiday is about to start. Elsewhere in the city, Syrian refugee Aziz Almasi, chauffeur to Esben Nørregaard MP, has gone missing, without trace. Fearing a link to shady characters from his past, Esben appeals to Dagbladet reporter Jensen and her teenage apprentice Gustav to investigate the disappearance, covertly. Could the body in the harbour be Aziz? Jensen turns to former lover Henrik for help. As events spiral dangerously out of control in the overheated city, once again Jensen and Henrik find they need each other to uncover the truth – one that is more dangerous than either of them could have imagined.
