It's been four weeks since Patrick Dawlish has heard from his wife Felicity, who's on a trip across the United States to visit friends in Hollywood. The last place she was seen was in Arizona, where her tour guide was found at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Dawlish isn't the only person looking for Felicity. Local authorities are, too, and suspect her of murder... In an unfamiliar country of wide-open spaces, blazing hot sun, and hardened locals, Dawlish has his work cut out for him. But since no one knows his reputation as a brilliant detective and one-time Secret Service ace, he can fly under the radar. Never has a job been more truly his-and his alone.
