He is the co-founder of the legendary Southern Rock band Outlaws, founder of '80s hitmakers The Henry Paul Band, co-founder of the multi-Platinum Country act Blackhawk, and author of the children's book Mr. Staubel's Dusty Cupcakes. He lives with his wife Rachael and their sons Jackson & Greyson on Big Guitar Farm outside Nashville, Tennessee. Gary Hertz attended his first Outlaws concert in the '70s, saw The Henry Paul Band open for The Allman Brothers in the '80s, and worked with Blackhawk - as well as overseeing the Best of the Outlaws: Green Grass & High Tides album - at Arista Records in the '90s.
