Overview

"Roman Britain AD 407 'Family or Empire?"" that's the question he faces, and he swore an oath to both of them! When he left the Army, Aethelwolf swore that he would love, honour, and protect his wife and children. When he joined the Army, he swore that he would defend the citizens of the Empire against her enemies, now both are in peril and Aethelwolf, retired Centurion of the legendary ninth legion might be their only hope of survival. When Saxon hordes land and massacre a village on the East coast of Roman Britain word gets out and more arrive sensing the easy pickings, and rich cities just waiting to be plundered. For the local population living there, it's a terrifying time as they prepare to meet an onslaught they always though the Romans would deal with, but Rome has gone, and their only hope is a retired centurion. Author Information

"Hi there This is a series that explores a period of history that very little is really known about. At a time when Rome was on the decline, the barbarians were willing to exploit the situation. I love history, and recently exploring the meaning of n=my surname I found that it stems from this period in history, and a book just screamed ""Write me"" so I started, and we'll have a whole series that explores the world at the end of the Roman period and beginning of Saxon Britain soon. Meanwhile, relax and enjoy the journey."
