Penny Simkin is a physical therapist who has specialized inchildbirth education since 1968. She serves on the editorial boardfor Birth: Issues in Perinatal Care and the consultantboards for the International Childbirth Education Association andthe Seattle Midwifery School. Ruth Ancheta is a certifiedDONA doula and approved trainer and has been a certified childbirtheducator through ICEA for more than twenty years. She hasauthored numerous childbirth education materials including the Childbirth Skills Teaching Kit and the VBAC Source Bookand Teaching Kit .
