Overview

The Kingsley Chronicles focuses on Evelyn Kingsley & the Kingsmen ruling Memphis with an iron fist ever since the 80s. In the early 90s, Memphis's crime rate began to rapidly climb due to Evelyn waging war against all the gangs for control. Evelyn's own husband Mitchell grew weary of her tyranny going unpunished. After serving in the military for thirty years, Mitchell met with the mayor & governor with a proposal to create a military S.W.A.T. in Memphis called Cadmus. The mayor & governor both approved of Cadmus once all their options became exhausted. Over the next few years, Cadmus proved to be an effective tool against combatting the Kingsmen. Much to everyone's surprise, the Kingsmen were already fortified as a powerful stronghold. The first leader of Cadmus overestimated his chances. The second leader of Cadmus, Travis McFulton, deployed a different & much more effective solution against the Kingsmen. The same family who Evelyn coerced into following her path are the same one gathering evidence for Travis. This led to major arrests & takedowns in Evelyn's operation but not enough to bring her down. In the Summer of 2019, Mitchell's youngest grandson, Demetrius took the reins of Cadmus after Travis got injured in the field. Demetrius continued to use the same tactic Travis created to battle Evelyn. With the constant gang wars occurring in Memphis, the people live in fear year after year, too afraid to go step outside. Ever since the 90s, the war between the Kingsmen & opposition gangs have only gotten worse. In a power struggle, police & other city officials are attempting to regain control of Memphis. The gang wars in Memphis won't end until Evelyn is locked up. Demetrius is more than determined to get the job done. Not long after Demetrius assumed command, Evelyn started to go after her remaining enemies including Demetrius's known friends. Evelyn's strategy is to get rid of his loved ones so he can bow out. With all this blood soaking the streets, the DA speeds their RICO case. In the midst of this war, family secrets unfold as the light is shined on a dark forgotten past. Everyone in this city is a potential target. No one is safe.
