Perry R. Hinton is a cultural psychologist and professor in the Department of Applied Linguistics, at the University of Warwick, UK. His research focuses on stereotypes and intercultural communication, specifically on the cultural formation of stereotypes, and Western media interpretation of Japanese popular culture. His most recent book is Stereotypes and the Construction of the Social World (Routledge 2020).
