Author Information

Ursula Springer, PhD, began her college teaching career at Brooklyn College, City University of New York, on undergraduate and graduate levels. Her special fields were comparative education and social foundation of education. After the death of her husband in 1970, she took over the publishing company that he had founded in 1950. Serving 34 years as owner and president of Springer Publishing Company, Ursula Springer was elected a member of the Board of Directors of the American Publishers Association. She became the first honorary fellow in the newly established American Academy of Nursing.
