Overview

Fresh from solving her first mystery--The Secret of the Old Clock--Nancy Drew is eager to tackle another one. A frantic phone call from her friend Helen intrigues the young sleuth. Helen's great-grandmother and aunt are hearing weird noises in their old mansion. At first, they wonder if a ghost is inhabiting the place, but when jewelry begins disappearing, their suspicions change. Could Nancy come and investigate? Eager to help, Nancy heads to the 1785 colonial-era mansion, which she suspects has secret passageways that the thief is using. What lies behind these old walls, and who is robbing and terrorizing the elderly ladies? When her father, lawyer Carson Drew, agrees to come help but never appears, Nancy has another more alarming mystery to solve. Has her father been kidnapped?
