Overview

Thank you for your interest in my second book. My first *official book was of course This Little Light Of Mine. This book was written in random bursts of thought, in response to the world around me and inside of me. It all occurred and accumulated over about a two-year period then edited and organized into categories becoming a bit more readable. You see I have several nonstandard bio-psych things in my brain, among other things, I have a sort of short circuit between my neocortex and my frontal cortex that can suddenly burst into a kind of electrical storm in my head. This however is not always active and can be somewhat unpredictable. While it is considered something of a defect, it is also the source of my creativity. Even though these bursts happen all on their own, as if it were a sort of seizure, afterward they all make sense to me and I hope to bring happiness to you. Because of the random nature of the verbal outbursts as they were delivered to me, the book is well suited for the purpose of asking a question and then randomly opening to some spot in the book for an answer, thus it becomes an oracle as the title suggests. I hope you enjoy sharing with me this collection of thoughts that I'm calling gospels. I sincerely hope that most will like most of these bits of wisdom and humor but I do also expect some people will only like and find useful some of them. Sadly I must admit that I expect that a few (and hopefully only a very few) will find some (or worse, most or even all) useless, boring, or annoying. I'm afraid that's just the way it goes in life you know. My desire is to share my gift with the world and really that's about as good as any pursuit any of us can choose as we live our lives doing the best we can. I hope everyone finds what they see as their gift and share it freely with all. Everyone has their own unique genius and we each must decide for ourselves what that talent is regardless of what anyone else may say about it. Just shine on you crazy diamond, shine your brightest light for all to see. I promise you there will be folks grateful that you did. *Just a little something I'd like to share with you. I actually wrote my first book when I was in like 2nd or 3rd grade. It was 3 pages of childish wooden lead pencil scrawl in block print type letters before I learned cursive and was titled The Twenty Millionth Day. That was something like 60 years ago so the details are vague but it was a story about a small group of people that somehow slipped through a time anomaly that sent them forward 20 million days, hence the title The Twenty Millionth Day. Why 20 million days? I guess it just sounded like a cool number to me at the time. That's really as much as I can recall about the story itself. My dad helped me make a cover using 2 pieces of cardboard that he cut and punched holes in to bind the paper pages inside. I drew some type of picture on the cover and put the title there. Sure would be cool to have that now.
