Overview

"A little gecko surprises his mother by telling her that there are five reasons why he does not like the night: he hears creaking noises; a strange whooshing sound; there is a huge bright circle in the sky; chirping all around him; and, he does not want to be alone. His mother helps him patiently to understand and change how he feels. Practice counting one less than from five to zero together as the little gecko runs out of reasons one by one and, finally, goes to sleep.""The Goodnight Gecko"" is the third of the three books in series 4 of the CAMathoriesTM Folktale MathematicsTM curriculum (one more and one less 0 - 5) for children aged 3-4 years old. ""The Goodnight Gecko"" is a folktale from Hawaii. Readers will learn to count one less from five to zero as the little gecko runs out of reasons as to why he should stay awake at night, and falls softly and happily to sleep."
