"""Never have I read a story so pure, so honest, so pervaded with the spirit of goodness as The Good King. In a parable of deceptive simplicity, beautifully told, Brian Boisen exposes the indisputable facts of life, love, holiness, sin, evil, and everything else. The only question is: Will a corrupt and godless world listen to such naked truth?"" --Mike Mason, author of The Blue Umbrella ""The Good King calms and encourages us to align our lives with the loving and capable 'King of Everything.' The story is part parable, part folktale, part myth--both sobering and delightful. It reminds us of our calling to follow Jesus and to ready ourselves to serve him now and in the age to come. The Good King left me homesick for God's kingdom."" --Deana Chadwell, adjunct professor, Pacific Bible College ""Who would dare be like this king who comes alongside tenderly, who suffers when evil is embraced and is yet strong beyond any imagination's ability to conjure? This is a tale worth enjoying and being moved by."" --Eric J. Epstein, author of A Walk with Lady Wisdom ""The Good King is a poignant allegory that gives vital insights into the depth of God's love. Readers will be challenged to consider where their own allegiance truly lies: with God or their own desires. The story demonstrates the reward of trusting the King and the destructive consequences of pursuing one's own desires. Boisen's writing and storytelling is clear and inviting, making this an essential read for anyone seeking to know the heart of God."" --Jered Gritters, author of Present Evil, Active God"
