Overview

There is always a Wood . . . And there is always a Witch . . . Cursed as a young girl to see the monsters other humans can't, the girl called Gingerbread uses her unnatural eyes, along with her sword, to protect people from what they don't believe in. But she never expected to find the witch that cursed her 10 years after the woman was burned alive. She warns Nikolas, leader of the caravan, not to tempt the ghost of the Piping Witch, but he is too eager to explore the infamous Woods of Winter White. He leads them into the snowy beauty of the wood, intrigued by the dangerous tales, until one of their children vanishes into the night. Gingerbread races to find the missing girl in time, only to stumble headlong into a battle between the Piping Witch and the Winter Whites themselves, one the witch is already so close to winning. Only a little more magic, and the witch won't be a memory, but a living, flesh and blood nightmare once more. Gingerbread will give everything to stop her, even if it means joining the legion of phantoms already trapped beneath the trees, but will even that sacrifice be enough to keep the Piping Witch from returning?
