Table of ContentsReviewsFabulous Read really enjoyed the 4 books in this series had read another book by this author called The Serpents Egg and liked it so much went looking for more and was not disappointed!!! This series captured me from the beginning twists turns spies romance double agents only thing missing was James Bond himself!!! Highly recommend and looking forward to more from JJ Toner This is a really well written story and a veritable page turner. I read it much quicker than I expected, mainly due to the fact that I'd pick it up when I went to bed with the intention of reading for ten minutes or so, but ended up reading for over an hour . Rooted in the actual history of the anti-Hitler opposition in Germany and Soviet penetration of the British war machine, especially in relation to Kim Philby, it hurtles along through the days just before D-Day. Even though we know how the war turned out, this novel offers a version of who did what and how things ended up the way they did. A well written spy story set in WWII. Follows on from the other 3 Black Orchestra novels. What makes these novels are that some of the facts interwoven through them could have happened. I thoroughly enjoyed the pace of The Gingerbread Spy from Germany to Ireland to England and Portugal. Would recommend this to spy novel lovers everywhere. J J Toner really knows how to keep you guessing and interested in what will happen next. Author InformationTab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
