Reviews

(This text) is different from any text I have used. No text I have used looks at the three levels of helping as well as this one and none looks at gender issues and feminism so specifically... The writing is excellent throughout the manuscrip...I enjoyed reading it and I know my students would like it. Iad say the most exciting thing about this text is the way it gives the reader a picture of how problems can be addressed effectively on different levels at the same time. It challenges students to think critically because so many case examples illustrate the complex relationships between environmental context and client problems. The content is a nice mix of theory and practical application of skills. Few books look at change so broadly. It will convince students that they are entering an exciting and challenging profession.
