From the age of 11 years, she was familiar and proficient in most facets of the company. At the insistence of Mr and Mrs Forbat, she completed school and University studies gaining the qualifications of BA, BSocWk, and later BA (Hons), DipED, MEd. She worked as a Social Worker until the illness of both her parents, when she returned to manage the business with her husband. She remained as one of the active Directors till the closure of Forbat.
