Candy Jar has built a strong reputation in children’s publishing, with standout successes including the official books based on the much-loved classic animation The Raccoons and the reissue of the very first Ivor the Engine book, originally published in 1962. October 2025 also marks the launch of Michael Lawrence’s bestselling Jiggy McCue series at Candy Jar, starting with the perennial favourite The Toilet of Doom – perfect for engaging a new generation of readers while tapping into existing nostalgia. Candy Jar has carved out a major presence in the Doctor Who universe, with bestselling spin-offs such as The Lethbridge-Stewart series and the family-friendly Lucy Wilson Mysteries. These titles continue to attract loyal fans as well as younger readers discovering the Whoniverse for the first time. Alongside fiction, Candy Jar’s high-quality coffee table art books – featuring the work of artists such as Chris Achilléos, Colin Howard, and Jeff Cummins – remain must-have collector’s items. Beyond its flagship titles, Candy Jar publishes a growing range of picture books, non-fiction, adult fiction, and YA. Recent years have also seen the launch of Welsh-language children’s books — an exciting development that supports Welsh bookshops while offering bilingual families fresh, engaging stories. Professionally, Katie is a Communications expert, creating dynamic content reaching over 220,000 people each week. She has spoken at girls’ schools, championing representation and empowerment.
