Overview

We here at Kinsart believe we have uncovered a micro-world embedded in the shores of Nova Scotia, Canada, a place world-renowned for its mineral-rich ocean. Disguised in coastal slate are imperceptible images resembling paintings, works of art, painted by nature using a palette of minerals. Though initially interested in gold, our attention was drawn to these mesmerizing mineral abstracts, which we have come to value more than the gold we originally sought. The combination of colours resembles images of landscapes, solar systems, animals, spiritual icons and more. Nature provides us with an abundance of amazing findings; all we have to do is look. Each viewer will see something entirely different from the next. We hope you enjoy what you see.

Author Information

Ken Sabean was born in 1942 in the small fishing/farming community of Port Lorne, Nova Scotia, Canada. He, and his 11 siblings, were raised by his parents with a strong sense of faith and a belief in one creator of all things. He is the proud dad of two sons, granddad of four and great granddad of one.Over the years, he worked in a number of industries including fishing and a career of more than thirty years in the kelp industry. Currently his knowledge of kelp keeps him busy consulting and mentoring while he continues to experiment with kelp extract and expand on new ideas.Recently he formed a company named Kinsart to manage and market his images of microminerals like the collection he's excited to share with you in this book. To this day, he still enjoys spending time on the shores collecting slate and kelp. He also loves his long drives through the Annapolis Valley back to Port Lorne for family visits and relaxing at home with his wife Goldie and their two dogs.Ken would like to give special thanks to his wife Goldie for all her love and support; to his business partner and co-authors Darron Hill and Jan James for their work helping to compile the information in this book and Tellwell Publishing.
