OverviewThe Fifth Dimension is the result of a course on aesthetics and neuroaesthetics created and directed by the architect, composer, artist and philosopher Emanuel Dimas de Melo Pimenta in the years of 1997 and 1998 at the Childhood Education Institute of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon, Portugal. They are thirty books in fourteen volumes. In this volume we start a journey through History, Zarathustra, the beginning of paper, Sumeria, the book, but also Gutenberg to launch ourselves into prehistory and the enigma of Kaspar Hauser. Each volume is a different field in this formidable universe that is the Fifth Dimension. The set of books that make up this project deals with the metamorphosis of the human thought, over thousands of years, going through culinary, the universe of perfumes, of the music, of ideas and the history of art.
