P.K. Butler is the author of the middle-grade trilogy Of the Wing. She is now writing and illustrating seven stories in the serial chapter-book series, The Bird Club. Butler earned a Master of Art degree in English from the Pennsylvania State University where she taught English Composition for several years. Thereafter she pursued a teaching career in adult and higher education. David E. Butler, her late husband, introduced Butler to the fascinating world of birds.
