The Independent Direct, succinct and easy to follow, Leah Hazard's book is a perfect addition to any midwife or doula's library. Midwifery Today Leah Hazard's exploration of what it's like for a father at a homebirth is well-referenced and provides answers to many of the questions a man might have about the homebirth choice. I love that she brings together the voices of men from all walks of life, and reveals how life changing the birth of their baby was for them, in the sanctity of their own home. Although primarily written for men, it's invaluable as a resource for birth professionals. The Mother magazine This handbook is essential reading. The Green Parent magazine Author InformationLeah Hazard grew up in the United States and graduated from Harvard University before moving to the United Kingdom to pursue a career in journalism and the arts. The birth of her first daughter in 2003 inspired Leah to retrain as a doula, providing birth support to families in homes and hospitals across Central Scotland. In 2006, Leah experienced the joyful birth of her second daughter at home. Since then, she has written articles on birth and parenting for a number of national and international publications, including Midwifery Today, Midwifery Matters, Birth and Beyond, and The Mother magazine. Leah lives in Glasgow with her family and continues to work for positive change in the maternity services. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
