Reviews

As complete as any 352-page reference could hope to be, The Fashion Encyclopedia admirably covers fabrics, fashion movements, techniques, terms, styles, and more, with full-color photos on nearly every page. Divided into four major sections ( Fashion Terminology ; Styles and Components of Dress ; Design, Tailoring, and Stitching ; and Textiles and Embellishments ), with subsections for each, the book follows a logical path of exploration for the fashion novice, with plenty of interest for those more steeped in couture. An eye-catching and remarkably affordable summary of clothing through the ages; recommended for most public and school libraries. Booklist
