The Fart That Burned

Overview

The Fart That Burned came about from a phone call with the author's mother while driving home from work. The idea really took hold in late 2022 when the author moved back home after wanting to explore a new career away from public service. The book provides a realistic view of law enforcement officers when not involved in high-speed chases or other high-stress situations. The banter, camaraderie, and general humor are commonplace in law enforcement and other careers where strong bonds are formed through hardship. The intention of this book is to help reduce stress through laughter, just as the author has done time and time again after going through high-stress situations. Enjoy.

Reviews

In this first book of author's Gas-Station Burrito series, you will be introduced to a cast of characters who are bound to become memorable. Written as if you are watching the actual playback on a body camera, the reader rides along and is witness to the real-life banter that goes on in the daily lives of those who often use humor as they share the danger inherent in protecting and serving the public. This realistic portrayal is a quick, entertaining read. Just as we slow down to view traffic accidents or tune into real-life police procedurals, you will not be able to resist reaching for the next book in this series as soon as it comes out. -Julian Cross, Book Reviewer
