Distinguished among his fellow soldiers in operational activities and military academics, as well as being a brilliant commander of troops on the battlefield, he has set out its research vision in 33 books and over 1000 articles that he has written, related to the complex Colombian conflict, international terrorism, geopolitics, National Defence and national history. Member of: the Bolivarian Society of Colombia, the Academy of History of Huila and the Colombian Academy of Military History.
