Overview

The Evolution of Adam is about decisions and choices which our ancestors made, over thousands of years, resulted in our being born into the family that we call ours. Our parents made decisions resulting in our birth. For the first few years of our life, they made most of the decisions and choices for us. We made a few that turned out alright, and few lessons we learned not to do again, at least for a while. As we matured, we made the majority of our own decisions and choices. Some with the advice of others, and the rest on our own. I realized early in my life that God had a plan for me. Even if I made a wrong turn, there always seemed to be another way for me to get back on the right path. In life, in relationships, and in business, His Angels and the Holy Spirit were always there when I realized I needed them. I am certain that some of the events in my life, will remind you of events in your life. I am 70 years old at the time of this writing, and I am still learning lessons. Mostly good lessons, resulting in good decisions and choices. Occasionally I miss a step, but bounce back up, change direction, and get to where I am supposed to go.

Author Information

Rick Lundberg was born in Minnesota, during a snow storm, in 1947. He spent his first 4 years on a farm, where his parents raised dairy cows, pigs, and chickens. When his mother was expecting another child, they moved into the small town where we would be closer to her family. They purchased a local Taxi Service from one of her cousins, and both his mother and father got regular jobs on opposite shifts to manage the Taxi Service as well. Rick would answer the calls and take messages when his parents were out on calls. It was a small town of about 1,200 people. The work ethic that his parents demonstrated rubbed off on Rick. When Rick was 10 years old he started delivering daily newspapers for the St Paul Pioneer Press and Dispatch. During the summer, he would pick berries for the local market and mow lawns for extra money. In the winter, he would shovel snow, deliver papers, and answer the phone when he wasn't in school. When Rick was 19 years old, he had saved enough money to buy his first home, and furnished it with new furniture. He married his first wife on his 20th birthday, and told her about the house the next day. He was drafted into the US Army three months later. After getting a degree in Construction Technology, he worked for a Consulting Engineering firm for 8 years as a draftsman and then a project manager. He then spent the next 12 years as an independent contractor working for several different firms in the Twin City area. However, during that time he started a small engraving and jewelry business. By then he had a daughter and a son. He divorced his first wife after 20 years of marriage, and sold the business that she helped him run. He then started up a property management and maintenance business after he met his new business partner, Marilyn. They were married 5 years later in 1993. By then the business had 44 crews working in 14 midwestern states. Since then, he and Marilyn have started over 20 small businesses in Minnesota, Nevada, California, and in Texas where they now reside. Their ministries have been many. They have served as altar ministers in both small and large churches, gone on mission trips to Mexico, have led several small groups in their home, and most recently Rick performed his first wedding ceremony after being ordained. And with her two sons they now have a combined family of 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren with a 3rd on the way.
