Overview

The Ericksen Connection is an espionage thriller about betrayal, PTSD, corruption, conspiracy, and terrorism. Mark Ericksen, the former Navy SEAL Team Six platoon leader and successful businessman, was all about duty, honor, and country. He resigned his commission in 2002, and over the next several years worked for three defense contractors, maintaining his top secret security clearance while hiding his PTSD. In 2009, the CIA received actionable intelligence about a wealthy Saudi terrorist mastermind who needs a classified biometrics encryption communications system to coordinate his sleeper cell operatives in launching a horrific nuclear attack on American cities. The CIA director meets with Ericksen, the executive vice-president of EyeD4 Systems, the biometrics company. When America urgently needs his services again, the CIA tasks him for Operation Avenging Eagles to sabotage the plot. Barry L. Becker is retired. He formerly was a marketing consultant with experience in biometrics technology. He served from 1984-1986 as the Vice-President of Marketing and from 1986-1991 transitioned to vice-president of International Sales for Eyedentify, specializing in eye-retinal technology for positive identification. Their major customers were Ministries of Defense and Interior, Intelligence Agencies, Nuclear Power Plants, Banks, Financial Institutions, Aerospace and Defense Companies. In 1987, his article Eyedentify Counters Security Threat appeared in the Journal of Defense and Diplomacy. Barry graduated from San Francisco State University. He and his wife live in Portland, Oregon.
